Refund Policy and Cancellation:
1. If the school prior to starting classes denies enrollment, all monies paid by the applicant will be refunded within 30 days of application.
2. If a student (or legal guardian if student is a dependent minor) cancels his/her/their enrollment in writing within three business days of the signing of this agreement, all monies collected by the school shall be refunded even if the student has begun classes. Withdrawal Date is determined by one of the following: the postmark on the written notification notifying the school of cancellation or the date said information is delivered in person to the school administrator or owner; the date of expulsion by the school; 14 days after the last day of attendance; or the earlier of the expiration date of an approved Leave of Absence OR the date the student notifies the school that the student will not be returning.
3. A refund of all money paid except a registration or enrollment processing fee up to 15 percent of the contract price if the applicant cancels the enrollment contract more than three business days after conclusion of the contract but prior to entering classes.
4. Unofficial withdrawals are determined by the school through monitoring clock hour attendance at least every thirty (30) days. Refunds are based on a student’s last day of attendance.
5. If a student cancels his/her/their enrollment later than three business days after signing this enrollment agreement but before starting classes, the student shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid to the school less any registration fees already collected.
6. The following tuition refund schedule shall be utilized to calculate a tuition refund for a student who begins classes and then for any reason terminates or is terminated:
PERCENTAGE OF ACTUAL ATTENDANCE TIME AMOUNT OF TOTAL TUITION
TO TOTAL TIME OF THE COURSE OWED TO THE SCHOOL
0.0% TO 4.9% 20%
5% TO 9.9% 30%
10% TO 14.9% 40%
15% TO 24.9% 45%
25% TO 49.9% 70%
50% AND OVER 100%
When documented mitigating circumstances occur (e.g. disabling illness/injury, death of immediate family member, etc.), a reasonable and fair refund settlement at the school’s discretion may be made that exceeds the above minimum adjustments.
1. Attendance Time is defined as the actual completed hours between the starting date and the date of the student’s last physical day of attendance at the school. All monies due the student shall be returned within 45 days of withdrawal date.
2. Students who withdraw or terminate prior to course completion may be charged an administrative cancellation fee of $150. This refund policy only applies to tuition and fees charged in this enrollment agreement.
3. If the school is permanently closed and is no longer offering instruction after a student has enrolled, the student shall be entitled to a pro-rata refund of tuition.
4. If a course and/or program is canceled subsequent to a student’s enrollment and before the course and/or program has begun, the school, at its option, may return all monies paid OR provide alternate start dates of the course and/or program.
5. If a school cancels a course and/or program and ceases to offer instruction after students have enrolled and instruction has begun; the school shall at its option: a) Provide a pro-rata refund for all students transferring to another school based on the hours accepted by the receiving school, or; b) Provide alternate start dates of the course and/or program, or; c) Participate in a Teach-Out Agreement, or; d) Provide a full refund of all monies paid.
6. Refund deductions. Fees for the student kit, textbooks, and workbook will be deducted before application of the percentages in refund computations, since these fees are included in the tuition and these items are the property of the student.
